Ageing evaluation of cable insulations subjected to radiation ageing: Application of principal component analyses to Fourier Transform Infra‐Red and dielectric spectroscopy

چکیده

The evolution of properties crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE)-based insulating materials under radio-chemical ageing conditions is presented and discussed. In total, seven different polymer compounds were tested, characterised by an increasing quantity additives, for example, antioxidants (AOs) fillers as flame retardants. Samples analysed using testing techniques, that is, Fourier Transform Infra-Red dielectric spectroscopy. This allowed a broad characterisation the polymer, bringing to good correlations between arising new chemical groups caused modifications on complex permittivity. Phenol-based AOs are found be most efficient in terms protection against oxidation. On contrary, retardants concluded not have any impact material ageing. Acquired data then treated principal component analysis. treatment successfully distinguished composition (with without additives) environments. results confirm relevance this analysis understanding irradiation functional studied.

like any other learning activity, translation is a problem solving activity which involves executing parallel cognitive processes. the ability to think about these higher processes, plan, organize, monitor and evaluate the most influential executive cognitive processes is what flavell (1975) called “metacognition” which encompasses raising awareness of mental processes as well as using effectiv...

Infrared - Your guide to Infrared and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy

Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution, and destiny of life in the universe. The field uses many scientific disciplines and spectrometric technologies to address these important issues. While questions about life in the universe have existed as long as man has looked up at the stars, advances in science and spectrometry in the past few decades make it possible for us t...

Plasma biomarkers of pulmonary hypertension identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and principal component analysis.

The main goal of this study was to find specific plasma spectral markers associated with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) induced by monocrotaline injection in rats. FTIR was used to monitor biochemical changes in plasma caused by PAH as compared with the systemic hypertension induced by partial ligation on the left artery and with the control group. Both pathologies, systemic and pulmonar...
